OCS / MOC 2007 R2 Update Digest (March 2011)

The Microsoft Office Communicator 2007 R2 cumulative update (CU8) described in KB 2501722 (Mar 2011)* fixes the following issues:

  • 2489816 A user is displayed as another user in Office Communicator 2007 R2
  • 2489823 You hear a loud noise when you call a European PSTN number by using Office Communicator 2007 R2

This CU also addresses issues previously documented in a number of other KB articles (see KB itself for more information or dowload CU8 directly).

In addition, the following issue will also be fixed if this cumulative update is applied together with KB969696, KB969821 and KB978564 for the Office Communications Server 2007 R2 (OCS 2007 R2 backend), Office Communicator 2007 R2 (MOC client) and Live Meeting Conferencing Add-in for Outlook:

  • 971628 When a delegate on behalf of a manager tries to use the Conferencing Add-in for Outlook to schedule a live meeting or to schedule a conference, the delegate’s information instead of manager’s information displays in the conferencing request unexpectedly

Lync Server 2010 - Documentation Update and New Tools (March 2011 Release)

The Lync Server 2010 Technical Library (Lync documentation) has been updated with new documents, clarification and errata* in the March 2011 release:
