Back on 13 March in 1989 twenty years ago is where it all started. This historical day celebrates the creation of the WWW in CERN, Geneva by Sir Tim Berners-Lee (UK) where the technology was released to the public royalty and license free.
The now ubiquitous web hyper-link method of sharing documents and data seamlessly regardless of physical location helped to connect scientists all over the world at that time and just about anyone with an Internet connection today.
A celebration will take place with a live web broadcast from 1400 hrs to 1730 hrs CET+1 today. Sir Tim Berners-Lee will response to the top 3 questions submitted online besides a series of presentation, keynote speech and demonstration. You can pose your questions and join in this unforgettable moment here and at lci.fr.
