Exchange 2007 Loading Topology Error

On an Exchange Server 2007 (Mailbox role) with more than one network interface card (NIC) with invalid TCP/IP settings, starting the Exchange Management Console (EMC) will result in the following series of cryptic error messages. The workaround is to assign valid TCP/IP settings on each NIC (static IP, not dynamic) or disable unused NICs. This is for performance and security reasons as well.
